I'm off!!!!

Blimey, all a bit frantic in the end, but now sat at Heathrow waiting for my gate to be called.  A frantic last few days, but made much more enjoyable by some great times along the way with friends and family.  Mind you, it's been a bit like the fight over possessions once someone's popped their clogs.... furniture, clothes, food, drink, priceless bathroom clock all whisked away from me.  So my past life is contained in 31 boxes (yes all scrupulously catalogued!) and furniture packed into three containers.  My coming year is packed into a holdall and a rucksack that I can barely lift.... Jono assures me I will get used to this and will have shoulders like a Russian shotputter in no time at all.  Mind you with all the weight i've put on from the endless meeting, eating and drinking, I certainly have the thighs to match!!

Did some extra culling of clothes this morning so that I could get the hair colourant in that Jono had said I couldn't possibly take with me as there was not enough room.  Ha, ha, these things are important to us girlies - these men just don't understand us women!

Just realised I've got conned at the airport for wireless access.  So keen to use my little netbook that failed to notice the hardwired ones 6 ft away where internet access is £1 for 10 minutes - I've just paid £10 for one off access and don't have any intention of writing for 100 minutes to get my monies worth.....but who cares, didn't get charged excess on my two backs so money in the bank (for a while, as stopped at sunglasses hut and bought some raybans.... sorry boys, 'ski' - ing again [spending the kids inheritance].

Not sure whether this is a triumph or should be sad, but realised today that I now have no keys at all on me, no car, no flat, no work........ no brainer!

So farewell everyone, I reckon I should be dipping my toes in the Indian Ocean by 3pm tomorrow, that's 12pm your time.
